Who are we?
Atlantic Rhythm Productions was formed in 2013, we had always taken part in festivals and performances under the umbrella of the Moffatt School of Irish Dancing but in 2011 Sheila took a decision to choreograph a full show with live musicians. The reason behind this was to allow her students enjoy another side to their Irish dancing. Being so successful in competitive Irish dancing it was important to develop from this, and so “The Children of Lir” was performed in November 2011, in aid of the new cystic fibrosis unit at Mayo General Hospital to a full house and so the rollercoaster took off in a new direction. A new show “An Emigrants Farewell” was performed as part of the 100th anniversary of the Titanic in Lahardane co. Mayo in April 2012. A trip to the USA the following October followed up by a trip to the UK in March 2013 with the same production paved the way to developing Atlantic Rhythm productions later that year. This Irish dance company has blossomed producing Irish nights, concerts, shows and performances on a journey that has opened so many doors for so many young people.
