Congratulations on your forthcoming event!

The Moffatt School of Dancing is a well established Irish dancing school in the North Mayo area.  If you are considering different forms of entertainment for your guests, read on to see what we can offer:

• Traditional display of Irish dancing with groups of 8-12 dancers.  Reels, jigs and hornpipes performed by dancers in full Irish costume

• Riverdance style, again with groups of 8-12 dancers.  Performing choreographed routines to set pieces of music, dressed in black, with colourful cumberbands to match their upbeat routines

• Themed pieces for your event, for example, music is taken from musicals such as “Grease” with a mixture of jive, disco and Irish dancing, incorporated into their routines.

All of our dancers used for exhibitions are well practised in advance for each event regardless of their ages.  We can help you decide what age group of dancers you would like to attend and also what type of routine your guests would enjoy.

We can also organise routines to fit a certain time limit for you. For example, for functions where time is required for a band to set-up, we can fill that 15-20 minute gap.

If you have guests who would like to join in, possibly a flower girl at a wedding, if we are told in advance we can accommodate this for you.

We can provide our own music, usually by iPod, and connect it to the band’s amplification system.

Requirements

We need to know a contact number for the band, or otherwise you will have to inform them that we will be attending

A changing area in the venue

A non-refundable deposit of €50 in advance, with the balance to be paid before we dance on the night of the event

A contact number for you and a clear understanding of what you would like so that we can do our best for you and for your guest’s enjoyment of our routines.
